The arrivals board tells you that his flight has landed on time, fifteen minutes ago. You shift your weight from one leg to the other, your fingers tapping against your thumbs in anticipation. He only has a carry-on so he should be coming directly to the arrivals hall, no baggage claim in between.

The door into arrivals opens, letting people through, but he’s still not there. You exhale and annoyance while simultaneously having to smile at yourself. This isn’t like you, being this worked up about being away from a man for a week isn’t your style. You usually relish being on your own – and you have, but you’re still waiting like crazy for him to be back in your arms.

Frankie. He’s just that different. You might still be in the honeymoon phase, but goddammit, he’s different than anyone else you’ve ever dated. He’s just as crazy about you as you are about him, and you believe him when he says so.

You lick your lips, eyes fixed on the door, searching every face that comes through it.

And finally, there he is, his old army duffel bag slung over his shoulder, baseball cap on his head, eyes scanning the crowd like it’s a hostile territory until he sees you and his face lights up.

Frankie.

He steers towards you with brisk steps, but you’re not waiting for him to reach you: you’re running to him, flinging yourself into his arms, nearly jumping if it wasn’t for his back. Frankie hugs you tightly and lifts you off the ground, spinning you around before setting you down and then his lips is on yours and it’s like he was never away to see his parents, the way his lips fit yours. Your arms are slung tightly around his neck, his hat falls to the floor, time passes by, people arrive and leave, and nothing else matters but kissing Frankie, smelling him, having his strong arms around your waist. Finally, he brushes his lips over yours, drawing a deep breath and sighing it out, happily.

”Hi,” he whispers.

”Hi,” you smile, ”I love you.”

1. How did you come up with the idea of your rewrite? Was it from watching the Disney movie or other people's rewrites?

I got inspiration from both my mutuals, the movie, some tropes i love from watching different anime and reading multiple Webtoons.

So my little wish au was born. It was initially was just going to be my little secret, just drawing my own version of Asha and Starboy and writing down some ideas for the AU whenever I have ideas for it, but when @signed-sapphire tagged me to recreate my Asha and Starboy on this picrew they found, well-

I was forced to reveal my two kiddos 🤧

ANYWAYS-

Lots of stuff changed compared to the first draft too.

I actually had two other wish AUs before the current one i have right now.

One is a sort of villain AU of Asha and Starboy, where i named that Starboy Alzir. (I can't remember why i named that guy like that tho)

And one where Asha is the thought to be dead princess of Rosas turned vigilante of some sorts, also with a Starboy (also named Orion). The guy was WAY less traumatized than the current Orion, Good for him!

2. How does SFTS!Asha interact with other Wish AU Ashas?

The Kingdom of Roses and Thorns 🥀(by @your-ne1ghbor) My Asha enjoys spending time with Neighbor's TKoRaT!Asha, they would probably talk about hobbies and what they do to alleviate boredom when confined inside a castle. Though my Asha mostly focused on her job of doing paperwork and castle finances and whatever the heck a princess's job is inside the castle idk. Imagine Navier from Remarried Empress, i definitely got inspired by her a lot when it comes to my Asha.

The Fallen Star 🌠 by @signed-sapphire She would probably not get along with Saph's Asha very much, she'd also try to reel TFS!Asha back whenever she's being rude to someone.

I feel there would be a scenario where TFS!Asha would be ranting to my Asha about the TFS!Seven teens for not appreciating their perfect and benevolent princess and my Asha would just be looking at paperwork and be like-

"Mhm" "Yes, that must be awfully tragic"

My Asha would NOT be listening at all LOL

Reach for the Stars 🌌 @oh-shtars At this point she's not surprised that there's an AU where she's a servant instead. She'd also be kinda akward towards her. since most of the castle staff in my AU knows of her existence but hasn't seen her personally or thinks she's intimidating/standoffish and she'd try her best to not "scare" RFTS!Asha.

Aled Wish au 🏙️ by @uva124 They'd bond over coffee and overworking maybe?

The Kingdom of Wishes 🌟 by @annymation She'd ask advice on how to draw other people, as she only knows how to draw herself, her surroundings and some animals.

Wish Granted @rascalentertainments She can't tell if WG!Asha doesn't like her or not because of her sarcasm. Though she thinks that WG!Asha probably already doesn't like her due to her being adopted by the Royal couple.

The Wishing Kingdom 🏰 @chillwildwave She'd relate on to her not being good at magic and both of their Magnificos berating them for not being good at it, she'd try to teach some of the spells she learned by herself to TWK!Asha tho.

The Assistant and the Star 📚 @tumblingdownthefoxden If she ever hears about TaatS! Asha was being stalked, she would have been pretty pissed and if she had the authority, she would have had them arrested and served prison time or community service.

Cause..im pretty sure that STALKING SOMEONE THAT IS THE KING'S APPRENTICE ARE PROBABLY GROUNDS TO SOME PUNISHMENT AT LEAST

But good thing he's a living lie detector and he'll look out for any bad guy that wanna take advantage of him....aaand cue him shooting an arrow at TFS!Mag. Sorry Saph-

Reach for the Stars 🌌 Sueño my boy, Orion would play music for him whenever he sees Sueno is upset or uncomfortable to calm his nerves. When he heard about how he got imprisoned by Magnifico and got his magic drained for years...well, let's just say he had a violent reaction and RFTS!Magnifico is going to be a pincushion once Orion gets his hands on him--

Aled Wish au 🏙️ Wish Uva's Haedus, he had to do a double take cause he can sense that Haedus is pretty powerful. But after getting over that, he thinks that he's really cool to hang out with. Orion would also love Naos and Nembus, he'd try to teach them how to perform spells that they can do even with weak magic.

The Kingdom of Wishes 🌟 He'd be in awe over Aster's cool cape and question how the heck did he manage to defeat his Magnifico. He'd also applaud that Aster was ready to square up against his Magnifico too, i still remember the swords he made out of stardust, even though it didn't hurt Magnifico, it was still one of my favorite moments.

Wish Granted 💫 WG!Star!!!! i love this little bundle of Joy, Orion would have a bit of a hard time keeping up with Star's energy at first though. He'd also be pretty protective as Star doesn't seem to recognize how dangerous his royal couple is.

The Wishing Kingdom 🏰 I remember wave mentioning that Antares has a tendency to lie a lot. Due to a past experience, Orion manifested the ability to tell when someone is lying. Whenever Antares lies about something, Orion...would not call him out on it, in public at least. He'd first yank him somewhere private and ask if he's okay and that he's here if Antares needs someone to talk with.

The Assistant and the Star 📚 He can heavily relate with having healing powers yet not being able to save people who they needed to protect. (I love Altan's backstory btw) On a less angsty note, They'd bond over being the only Starboys having fluffy fur on their outfits. Orion would start a "Starboys with Fluffy fur on their outfits" club, only with two members at the moment :')

4. How long does your storyline go on?

In universe it would either be a few months or a year at most.

Cause I feel like it would be like an anime/cartoon(??) series with episodes in it to show dynamics of side characters with one another, or Asha and Orion shenanigans, The Royal couple shenanigans, even an episode dedicated to Asha's owl and Amaya's cat just having beef with each other. Asha and Orion needs time to establish trust with one another over time. Gain allies to stand against the King and Queen, Make the people doubt about the Royal couple, Arc where Asha gets to explore outside the castle walls!, Asha having her first public appearance, episode showing what happened to Rosas' previous King and second prince, Orion backstory, 7 teens POV, all that fun stuff.

(Disclaimer: I am NOT writing all that- I have NO writing experience whatsoever, my au is just a fun little concept that i would just either draw out or share little fun facts about whenever inspiration strikes)

Magnifico gifted Asha a crown made of thorny vines for her birthday, she still wears despite it being hurting because it's the only crown she has. And to remind herself that a princess's job is a heavy/painful burden.

I don't really plan on Writing this au, it's more like a fun concept that i would share fun facts of or draw occasionally. But if there would be music in it, it would include most of the Songs that are already in the movie except:

and i would replace them with songs like:

(Because i freaking LOVE Epic the Musical okay? and Orion would be the type to sing a happy tune with some sinister lyrics sometimes lol)

Here, Orion makes an offer of partnership between him and Asha, he'd be her ally in the quest of preventing Magnifico and Amaya's plans, he also sings some of their crimes during the song too

"She can turn you into an animal that would end up on a plate! "She can all but make you fall in love, like you're on your hundredth date! "He can turn into a monster! And he'll grind you to the bone" "They have all the ways to haunt ya, if you take them all alone!"

He sings these crimes that they they have done in a catchy tune so Asha won't get too spooked but he makes sure that she understands that those two are definitely dangerous and you should be very cautious around them. Because they have definitely done these acts, and would definitely do it again to any person who would oppose them.

• They're only Human

Here the Royal couple sings a duet, looking down on the people that are so far beneath them. Also I'd imagine them singing the Annapantsu and Caleb Hyles Cover instead of the OG version (I still love the og tho)

Not entirely sure what rebellion song I would replace "Knowing what I know now" though

And if there would be an Original song, it would be a song about Asha singing/comforting Orion because he's having a mental breakdown. Singing to him along the lines of- "Deep breaths" "Count with me" "And Repeat"

Idk I'm not a songwriter

And it would be named something like- "Don't blame yourself" or "Things that weren't your fault"

And at some point, Orion would sing this back to her, like a reprise of sorts when she's the one who needs comforting

p.s. I just realized that "Here comes a thought" from Steven Universe would be a perfect alternative instead oh my god-

7. Is there a Flazino in your rewrite?

Oh yeah he exists, Asha gave him a raise once, surprised that he didn't quit being Magnifico's magic apprentice since all the previous ones quit and was never seen again (She's secretly investigating where they are as she caught wind of their families being worried sick about them). Flazino didn't know why his salary increased and who did it, cause it's definitely not Magnifico or Amaya, but he's grateful to that person.

He also goes around Rosas to help with his magic, as he's one of the only people in the kingdom authorized to use magic. (Being Magnifico's apprentice and all)

8. When can we expect the first chapter?

I'm not really a writer, so i actually plan to show some happenings in my au with drawings once motivation strikes once in a while, or if some people asks me about stuff about my au cause i don't really talk about stuff unless someone asks me about it

They exist! They help their parents who work at the castle, like an internship of sorts so they would take their places once they have come of age. (This might change in the future who knows)

Captain 4 AU

Something i came up with at school. What if my Four somehow ended up as the captain? Well first of all i don’t know why they decided that. Maybe because of how much she fought Octavio when Callie kept putting on the Hypnoshades? And maybe the fact she did it with multiple weapons? Who knows. Or in this case, considering that anyone who is the captain is only allowed on serious missions (at least for my AU) maybe Three actually didn’t have to regain some of her stamina and was still in fighting shape, and Four hurt herself badly considering how often she narrowly avoids death. Maybe that’s why. So yea. Also, in this case it would also mean that Three would probably end up being Parallel canon. Once again. Stuff is explained in the post so, ye. I also realize that since Three is still an agent and Four is captain, technically, Neo would probably be the new Agent 4 in this case. Unlike Three who tries to act stern and what not so Neo is always on her toes. Four, does the exact opposite, she acts like herself, or the best she can. Her favorite part about S2 hero mode was the fact she had fun! It felt like one of those adventures she’d read about when she was a kid. She wants Neo to feel like that. So yea. In my regular AU, Three is constantly worried during the s3 hero mode due to the fact that well, Four (when being trapped in the memverse) basically is zoned out, or a corpse for lack of better words. And Eight, Three’s girlfriend, isn’t answering her calls. Those two were basically how Three felt okay with being friends with people again (lore that will be explained soon dw) so for one of them, specifically the one who could probably have enough energy to rival a zapfish if she tried hard enough, to suddenly be lifeless, and the other one, the one who she’s dating, to miss every call possible. She felt like she was to blame, another reason she acted cold and stern towards Neo.

Anyways in this AU, with Three and Four essentially committing swap AU, Four has a very different reaction. She immediately starts freaking out. She tries to call Eight, trying to inform her that her girlfriend might be in danger, but after like 90 missed calls. Four panics, so her best friend, and her best friend roommate, are in trouble. I actually do have a comic about Four and Eight’s return in the Squidbeak au (my regular AU) right here!

In this case Four immediately hugs them both, does the SA2 line with Three, and does a high five with Eight, Neo being completely confused on who tf these two are. Also, remember that one line of dialogue where Marie says

This is Marie talking about some words that Three wanted Marie to say. In this AU, Four would say something herself. Probably something along the lines of “THOSE PIECES OF SQUIT CAN GO-” and then Marie would shut her up. I’ll probably draw more Captain 4 and the AU when i don’t feel like dog shit because of how my week has been going irl

-raph and Casey spent one too many times out till the break of dawn, Casey almost got fired, but raph and him made up a story, put on voices and treachcoats all that jazz. Now Caseys boss thinks he has ties with the mafia... it gets really runny when April finds out and chases them down

-don and mike spend mornings listening to lowkey but hyping songs to get ready in the morning " a boy named pluto" mainly because don can't handel anything loud and mike will cry if the song doesn't have some kind of sway to it

- Raph became the nightwatcher after witnessing the og guys death, poor guys traumatized

- mikey is the best at disappearing, but only after don invested the egg shell smoke bombs

- Leo voice box was permenatly damaged when he was attacked b4 the farm house arc, it gets really bad when he is stressed

- Raph after the whole brainworm thing (is that cannon or fannon, im like 70% sure it's cannon but idk) gets really spooked around insects and worms, especially if he can hear them moving

- Donnie got a chem set for Christmas from his brother, but he knows they really just stole stuff from nycu, he loves it

- Raph gets sad sometimes that he isn't smaller cause he wants to be help, his brother make sure to give him a really big group hug, doesn't solve anything but he knows he is loved

- Mikey spray paints, it started with the sewer walls, but now he does abandon buildings too

- Donnie built himself the best noise canceling headphones, and then built all his brothers pairs because they kept asking to borrow them

- Leo ugly laughts at the fnaf sb freddy memes, all of them, it makes everyone who hears it wheeze

- Leo is so goddamn anxiety ridden, this poor boy

- Finally a raph that does violent right, yeah it might (read deffo will in hs) end up bad, but never for his brother, cause he protects them with that violence and anger

- Don definitely learned how to speak Korean so he could watch k-pop interviews as they aired

- Mikey is a natural at martial arts

There has been a bit of toxicity regarding raph fans, like 3 of them. Everyone else is great, so for anyone experiencing hate from those people like @theunicorncomic-blog and @incorrect-2003-tmnt-quotes ( like people are being toxic to them not that they are toxic) along with anyone else experiencing toxicity from the 3 Raph fans

I am so sorry, I know it can be stressful and they seem to like to target things that are personal. So just remember it doesn't matter who your favorite is, it doesn’t matter if you hate a character, we are tmnt. We are TMNT and we love our ninja boys, and we always will. Embrace the new iterations, learn of the old, no matter what it will bring you joy to see our boys out n about getting love.

Spread love and affection, and ignore those who are violent without reason.

And for those like 3 toxic raph fans, I get that you are upset about people disliking raph or feeling like his personality is costing other characters, but something to remeber is that, we love raph, he is a great character, what we are upset about is that the writers make him "angry, strong, rule breaker" and nothing else, they don't let him grow, they don't let him experience, for example the other characters start out as this. " Mr. Rules, Ninja, Leader by name only" and then let him grow to " leader through experience, kind, and willing to risk it all for his family" another " know it all, annoyed, non confrontational" and let him grow to " empathetic, strong willed, smart" they allow the other characters to grow, while sticking with their base. So the Raph we want to see at the end of a series is " willing to do anything to protect, strength through family, and angry at injustice" we can see it be set up in 07 and 03, but the others leave him as an angry, violent jerk who is funny mind due, but non the less we are left wanting more from someone who tends to be one of the more focused on characters.

TLDR, we are upset that Raph suffers as a character from lack of mobility, in a main position he has the options to, but the writers don't give it to him, and by doing so it costs the other characters. So stop being toxic and giving your character a bad rap by using slurs against the people who have different views from you. Just remember there is way more good than there is bad, don't let these 3 ruin things for everyone else or warp your view of others

PJOTV Ep 4 + 5 (spoilers)

My brain is, and has been, rotted entirely! I feel like the TV show is such a treat because the new content adds layers to the story SO MUCH like the plot and character dynamics it makes me want to scream. Yes the differences are absolutely notable but the bottom line is that our main trio would find each other in any universe or storyline and would choose each other every time

-The opening scene of episode 4 broke me a bit: the lore that Percy actually did not take naturally to being in the water, he was actually afraid to be swimming! I feel like before we definitely characterized him as someone who felt at home in the water since he came out the womb but damn look how far he comes. How jarring it must be to later find out you're actually the son of the sea god :o

-Percy continually being angry about the system of the gods (not) interacting with their children, being so shocked that a parent wouldn't help or talk to their child. He's so sweet and I feel like his rage grows the more he gets to know Annabeth because he sees how amazing and loyal and cunning she is and wonders how her mother could ever ignore or abandon her

-Annabeth just in general, her badassery is so fucking perfect for this character, the way she draws her knife, her being so fucking in tune with Percy already....the way she knows exactly what Percy is going to do before he does it ((and the way he listens to her unconditionally i.e. cutting off Medusa's invisible head in episode 3 but I digress)), knowing he was alive and waiting for them somewhere at the beginning of episode 5. she is a LEGEND and she is LOCKED TF IN

-the hug <3 i won't make it weird if you won't <3 <3 we're like friends now <3<3<3 do u understand how i hurt

-trio walking down the side of the road like bums -_- i died lmfao. also them hiding when approached by some dude and just being like <3 we good ty tho!!

-Percy, again still acclimating to this fucking weird ass world where gods are real and can kill u easily, is shook when ares threatens to kill them. luckily, as a change of pace, grover is cool as a dang cucumber and saves the day af. this is what i mean like absolutely the characters are so different like yes grover has been nervous a lot but he also can turn it tf on and smooth talk when he needs to

-Annabeth has never seen a movie. Percy immediately insists that they watch one together. Look me in the fucking eyes and tell me that's not a date? Hello?

-The entirety of the tunnel scene/chair scene. Percy being the one to figure out the story illustrated Hephaestus' life. Percy ALREADY working to save Annabeth first and foremost! Percy continually sacrificing himself for her! Believing deep down she is capable of great, impossible things and being willing to set aside his life for her without question. Telling her she is better. "You just are. And you know it." Giving her Riptide, no second thoughts, no backing down.

-ANNABETH CHASE ALREADY ASSUMING PERCY'S PROMISE WOULD BE ABOUT HIS MOTHER. HIM BEING ASSURED SHE WILL SAVE HIS MOTHER, NO HESITATION. HIM ASKING HER TO COME BACK FOR HIM. HER BEING SURPRISED THAT HE THOUGHT HE HAD TO ASK. (THE ENEMY PHASE WAS SO SHORT LIVED. THEY HAVE BARELY GOTTEN IN THE BACK OF A TRUCK TRANSPORTING LIVE ANIMALS TOGETHER. WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY WOULD TALK ABOUT IN THERE NOW. I'M fine don't worry about me).

-On that note, the ending. Percy is like a loose cannon full of a deep rage and a lot (A LOT) of unrealized power; his problem is that he is not locked TF in like Annabeth (as of right now) and the ending really made me excited because it feels like he is finally catching on to what a big deal he actually is. All this anger he has inside him, all this rage at what he has lost and the suffering he has seen, .... i'm honestly beside myself at what is to come because this is already SO JUICY and I feel like we've barely started!

-side notes: the score is so amazing, I'm really enjoying it and I understand all the videos of the actors promoting the soundtrack!!! also my sister has never read the books but she loves the movies and we watch it together; she is very very excited for the casino scene so there is definitely hope for her in the near future. ((my nico loving ass will also be holding binoculars and twitching))

so yes a lot was changed but i am really liking the new content a lot because it just feels like added lore and, again, these guys can best the odds in any universe and help each other in every timeline. the most important plot points are there and i feel like they have already set up a lot of info for later on down the line. Oh, Eva was freaking out at first. Her curious son just got sucked into a Star-hating kingdom like a vacuum. But she can’t externally combust, as she’s already not of the highest standing in the star realm.

What happens until she appears in the story is basically a “Hell is Forever”-esque argument with the stars in charge to let her go and rescue him. Who knows if that works out or not.

Cielo… honestly, he was like Ariel coming to land. Sure, he was a bit off-put by the new world, but quickly became distracted by the wonders of humans. He knew Eva would be watching him and freaking out, so the best they could do was find his Wisher and work on becoming a true wishing star like Eva taught him.

Are the songs going to be equal length?

“Welcome to Rosas” is one of the shorter ones. It’s… yeah.

I have one that’s like… twenty seconds aloud? “At All Costs” is longer, but “This Wish (Reprise)” is visually more panels. Same as the rewrite of “I’m a Star” and one other secret song.

Yeah! He’s voiced by Ravi Cabot-Conyers and gets a voice… sometime after the rewrite for IAS. I haven’t exactly pinned a certain point.

Asha… well, she was twelve when her parents died. So it’s been five years at the start of the story. She remembers being happy, and being loved. She remembers making couscous with Sakina and climbing trees with Tómas.

Her memory of that night is fuzzy. All she remembers is being trapped under flaming rubble, someone saving her and throwing her out, and a tall figure with glowing eyes and floating hair.

She prefers to think of the good stuff. What will be.

So, Magnus and Amaya didn’t start the myth. It’s not really a myth, either. For around a hundred years, Stars changed from assisting people with their wishes to straight-up granting them. In turn, people became lazy and started depending too much on the Red Giants, and overpowered them, the magic turning dark and corrupting their minds.

They began searching for more wishes to grant and more power to absorb, bursting into villages to find the ungranted wishes. Eventually, people saw that the stars became dangerous, but some people still wanted their wishes granted, and so more stars fell.

Magnus and Amaya’s homes and families were both taken by Stars. So they decided to do something about it.

Personality wise, Sune is generally pretty chill but kind of awkward. Though, she can be snarky as fuck and has a strange sense of humor, which she unconsciously uses to cover her constant and profound sadness. She may come off as mean sometimes despite not having the intention to hurt others; it may not look like it, but Sune is really appreciative of the people she cares about it. She's just kinda bad at expressing it '^^

*coughs* Sune is a literal accident. She is an unwanted child whose parents only decided to have due to social pressure, this only has made her life worse as she has been emotionally neglected by them since birth. She has learnt to take care mostly by herself, but It's because of this she has difficulties socializing and regulating her own emotions. She has pretty much been lonely her whole life, additionally her classmates often shushed her away for being a crybaby when she was even younger. The only person who helped her was a teacher, but she lost all contact with her when she got "homeschooled" at age 10.

To fuck up things even more, she has always been kind of lazy but it got worse when she started showing symptoms of narcolepsy at age 7. This is the actual reason she's so drowsy all the time hahan't (she most likely has narcolepsy type 2). God's sleepiest soldier 🧍

alright s9 vol 5 thoughts: the episodes are getting less interesting to me but also shit I might be becoming a Hamish fan

I had a bunch of gems saved up because I got a bunch of the rewards from playing s4 episodes and also because I was slowly replaying S4, I kept getting the daily log in gems and the ones from watching ads, so I was fully prepared to use them this volume. And then oh nope I'm not even remotely interested in the drama they're asking me to pay to learn. Like I think I got one of the new dresses because I was sick of the t-shirt dress, but that's it.

"Woah woah woah I still don't know what's going on here" has basically been the name of the last two seasons with how much you gotta pay to listen to drama that mc conveniently wasn't around for

So Melissa gets dumped and her partner also gets dumped but he doesn't say much, which you'd think because no matter which route you're on, he did briefly have a thing for MC, he'd at least say something to her. Or there'd be an opportunity for a hug or closure? Nope. Goodbye, Henri. (And I played this on the fourth of july, that's just unAmerican 😤).

Then comes the highlight of the episode for me, which is the impressions game, because it could've worked so well and yet it happens soooo fucking badly.

But like the sticky notes on their foreheads, sure. It's like an easy gimmick to change the sprites so the game feels different. Like every time that they bring out the hideaway box, it's mildly exciting but mostly corny. But then it spoils which islander is coming up next, so why couldn't they have done it one at a time? Like show Will's name on Finn's forehead first, and then when that's done, THEN Kelly pulls out Bea's name and puts that on her forehead. And we shouldn't be able to see MC's note. Like let us guess and potentially be wrong lol.

Another even easier way to do this, is just drawing names out of a hat so the person pulling has to do an impression. Then MC has more opportunities to guess (like it's more engaging for the player than just reading what everyone else is doing). And like most of the writing would be the same I think. Like MC's partner is bad so instead of saying anything Alfie actually does he just says "oh... it rhymes with Galfie?" and then Hamish can still show off and guess each one if MC doesn't get it, or even if MC does get it then he still starts explaining every islander's backstory.

I also think someone needed to have done something absolutely unhinged for Stefan's name. Like Kelly is like "omg I wasn't even thinking putting his name in" which like I don't believe her, that's kinda shady, but also just kinda boring. Maybe the producers set up the game, or if the islanders do that's fine (like just have Kat or Melissa do it instead bc maybe they want to swoop in and take MC's partner). But like if we say it's the way I described above, then Kat's partner should've been like oh I can do an impression, and then straight up kissed MC, or like did a little speech about how he wants her back, or recited something from when Stefan was upset she didn't leave the villa with him (like it's an opportunity to drop more Stefan lore the way they've been doing it, which I agree is really annoying, but just to continue the trend). And then MC of course can choose the right answer, some other islander, or just be like uhhh wtf??? And then just kick off some more drama that way.

Also the impressions started off strong with Will and then quickly just explaining what happened to that islander. Like, ever heard of show not tell? Even for Ivy, I think it would be so easy to just bring up her checklist but instead they go for "sexy librarian energy"???? tf?? On behalf of Ivy, I'm offended at that description actually. And now you got me out here defending IVY of all people.

Uh anyway, so yeah my favorite bit was Hamish being really into Love Island lore.

And like I said, I don't believe Kelly when she says she didn't mean to put Stefan's name in there. Like I don't think it'll amount to anything, but because it seems like everyone's getting the universal, default Finn being into MC route (getting Suresh treatment), I'd rather it actually be her being kind of shady on purpose. Like she's jealous actually because Finn has already told her he doesn't want to be with her and wants to be with MC. And then give the wlw players a friends to enemies to lovers route with Kelly to change it up a little.

Oh right there was an excess baggage challenge this volume. It feels too late in the game. I think we need another fun challenge, comparable to the S2 paint challenge or the cake one. I feel like we don't get many of those anymore. I think an obstacle course-esque one is fun, because you can a few quick prompts that don't really affect the game but keep the player engaged. Like the games day in S8 but less pay to win prompts.

nothing notable from the baggage though imo. like even the Finn stuff was boring. also I kinda hate him doing hosting roles post love island, idk seems like he'd more fo all in with his brewery stuff and vacationing but instead he's tied to Love Island gigs? like I see that for like Tim because he's basically like Kem from UK S3 and for a while kem did just do hosting gigs for a while so it's not unrealistic to think an islander is making an appearance somewhere else, I guess I just don't see that for Finn. and like I could think of several islanders from any of the new seasons I'd pick before finn. Honestly even Hamish I would understand.

But I only bring up the excess baggage thing because MC and Hamish crawling around trying to listen in on drama is actually so fun. Like it just feels like a S2 Bobby thing to do and I appreciate that. I do hope Hamish's route isn't ruined and also that it only happens if you romance him, because I would want this type of moment to happen even if y'all were just friends, because we get so few friends in the game these current seasons.

Then we get to Finn's pool chat. I just wish, if it were as open as he said it was, then it wouldn't be a secret late night rendezvous situation. Like have the chat in the daylight if you're not afraid, you coward. Idk gave me kinda icky vibes just like in S5, so I said no even though I do think Finn could still be a really good friends to lovers route, like on the level of Jake, but the ball is constantly being dropped with him.

and so little has happened for Finn (that we the audience know of) between this episode and last volume where nearly the same thing happens in the shower and Finn rejects MC if she tries to kiss him (and so I rejected him this time lmao)

I saw the word double and I was afraid Marshall and/or Ozzy were gonna show up as hosts for the date (as if hosts for a date make any sense)

And having them switch dates is kind of a fun twist if not for the fact that the twist last time was that MC went on dates with Lyle and Jude and Chen went on dates with Kelly and his ex. Chen cannot catch a break and for all the loyal girls, wheres their time with their LI?? Like, I like the idea, but maybe it could've been saved for a different season? It just feels irritating to do it back to back. Especially when they've been in there and long enough that Chen and Natasha already know they don't like each other, and it feels like an excuse for Kat and Finn to have some drama we have to pay to listen to.

But you do get to talk to Hamish about Natasha, which feels like it could've been a friendly chat in the villa and we didnt need a date excuse. But alas, we don't get chill chats in the villa anymore 😭

And then back to challenges, it feels too early for snog marry pie. I don't think they're doing a casa this season, just based off of leaks of islander names I don't think there's enough, but snog marry pie in my head is always around casa or after, and it just feels too early for even casa. But then again, we're on like 15 of 42, so maybe it's fine.

Yeah so overall, I don't even really remember too much. Like it's feeling like S7, and I didn't finish season 7, but I do think I'll finish this one because I'm so curious how the Finn route will go and if they'll drop the ball with Hamish and also with Stefan. And also I like making these weekly posts so I might even just keep going for that alone. but also I enjoy slow burn and second chance romance plots and drama anyway so that could make the season better for me we'll see

WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE USUALLY LOOK LIKE / WEAR?  She will pretty much wear most things if it fits, but takes preference to long sleeves and jackets even in warm weather, because even a thin hoodie is good to help cover the bite mark on her neck and her wrist. She also prefers jeans, but will wear anything as long as it has pockets. No pockets, no go. if no pockets, where put knife?

IS YOUR MUSE AFFECTIONATE? HOW SO? Yes! Mostly with those she has grown close to, and given her past experiences, when she is close with someone she wants to be with them at all times because that's just how survival works. It's better to stick together than to separate. Depending on the relationship, she does enjoy physical affection, she'll fall asleep on your lap. She still likes it when a loved one reads a book to her and she'll probably want to lean on you to follow the text as you read. And if she lets you touch Teddy without getting defensive then that's definitely her way of saying she trusts you.

WHAT POSITION DOES YOUR MUSE SLEEP IN? Usually on her side, either side, with both arms tucked into her chest because she always sleeps hugging Teddy.

COULD YOU HEAR YOUR MUSE IN THE HALLWAY FROM ANOTHER ROOM?  That depends on if she doesn't care if she's heard VS if she does care. If she does care about being heard, you will not hear her aside from if the floor creaks.
